The GLBT march on Washington is on. equalityacrossamerica.org/blog/

Obama's political agenda is subordinate to our rights. If the Dems and the Presidet feel put on the spot by this I say so be it.

This is good news. Yesterday I read that the White House is trying to block a move in Congress that would stop enforcement of Don't Ask. Don't Tell." Some fierce advocate for gay rights he turned out to be. I hope the leaders of the GLBT Community who are against this march come around and realize that our rights are more important the their invitations to White House events.

I think we need to take a page from our own histiory. Fourty years ago when the Stonewall events took place some leaders of The Mattacine Society and other established gay and lesbian groups tried to discourage participation in those events. This is why those groups no longer exist except perhaos on paper. The young rebels and drag queens who fought against the cops were 100% right and the old leadership was totally discredited. The future of our movement belongs to those who will not hesitate to put Obama and our "friends" in Congress on the spot.. Those who call themselves the "voice of reason and moderation" are unreasonable. They will go the way of those who urged restraint in 1969.
